The Design & Construction
The Sanctuary was a collaboration between Jamie Martin of Graph Tech Design and the owners who played a vital role in not only the initial design but the ongoing changes through out construction making the necessary adjustments to enhance the final product based on the site conditions and view lines. The Designer, Jamie Martin, has been involved in many luxury residences throughout the Province over the last 25 years with a definite flair for the timber frame construction incorporating local materials to enhance the unique qualities of the locations of each residence.
An Exceptional Design
Outstanding materials were used in crafting this modern masterpiece, such as a standing-seam metal roof, cedar siding and shingles, and copper-clad low-emissivity windows and doors. A frame of locally harvested and milled fir encloses 6,000 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms, three full baths, and three half baths. Heated slate floors, white-pine ceilings, custom furniture, and zoned Control 4 System lighting enhance the refined atmosphere that unfolds within. A camera-monitored security system, interior motion detectors, and a water-leakage detection system provide peace of mind. An additional 2,000 square feet of decks and patios, including a covered slate patio with a basalt fireplace, create a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow. Geothermal heating provides an environmentally pleasing experience and warms the saltwater pool and a sunken outdoor hot tub with room for six. An underground wine cellar with a 300-bottle capacity makes entertaining a true joy.
